Learning objectives

<br />Knowledge of the principal applications of the flow cytometry and realtyme PCR technologies to study of the microscopic and functional anatomy of blood cells.

Course unit content

<br />Concepts of isolation, characterization and in vitro growth of human hematopoietic cells. Analysis of the cell morphology, cell phenotype, integrity of the nuclear and cell membrane, cell activation  by flow cytometry. Quantification of the gene transcription by the realtime PCR.<br /> <br />
