Learning objectives

Through analysis of a text, students will be provided the tools to
allow them to undertake independent historic, linguistic and literary
study of Old occitan literature

Prerequisites

It is requested that students have taken the 12 credit Romance philology
course during the 3-year undergraduate program

Course unit content

The course will offer an
in-depth analysis of some novellas of the Decameron and their romanec sources.

The exam consists of an oral interview and preparation of a paper that
demonstrates adequate level of maturation and critical autonomy
