Learning objectives

Advanced study of Latin and acquisition of the methodological skills required for independent research

Prerequisites

Course requirement: 10 credits in the Latin language and literature SDA. Students who have already gained 15 credits in the same SDA must pass a preliminary written entry exam.

Course unit content

Course title:
Pax, libertas, otium: the words of politics in Seneca's philosophical language.
The course will focus on the meaning of some specific words and formulas of Seneca's political vocabulary from their "republican" value onwards.
Students will carry out a piece of scientific research to be agreed upon with the professor.
