Learning objectives
Aim of the course:
1. Acquisition of fundamental knowledges of physiology, connected to hormones and factors involved in productive performance regulation in domestic animals
2. Study of action and effect of synthetic hormone used to modulate the productive performances in domestic animals.

Hormones and facotrs involved in growth regulation (GH, IGFs, glucocorticoids, thyroid hormones, steroids)
Energy balance and food intake: level of control and hormonal regulation ( POMC, orexin, NPY, AGRP)
Adipose tissue: a multifunctional organ: the adipokines
