Learning objectives

Hydraulic and structural design of dams and weirs. General design of main fluvial and maritime structures.

Prerequisites

Knowledge required of relevant topics on Hydraulics, Structure Mechanics , Geotechnics .

Course unit content

Concrete dams (gravity, arch-gravity, arch) and earth dams. Fixed and movable weirs. Hints at fluvial and maritime constructions.
