Course unit content
For the most part, attention in teacher education has traditionally been focused on what teachers need to know and how they can be trained, rather than on what they actually know or how that knowledge is aquired. The course focused on researches about teachers knowing (how their knowledge is complex, idiosyncratic, holistic, personal...)and on topics about which they think (routines, students, role, curriculum...). In this perspective, can be useful to explore the Genetic Epistemology of Jean Piaget as epistemology of action and the teaching method that we can to infer from.
