Learning objectives

Acquisition of the methodological, literary and language skills required to produce an individual piece of research.

Prerequisites

Students must have acquired 12 credits in the 'Latin language and literature' SDA (L-FIL-LET/04).

Course unit content

Course Title: The Song of the Fates in the poem by Catullus 64: exegetical problems.

Full programme

The course aims to deal with one of the most controversial issues not only within the liber by Catullus, but also within the Latin literature of the first century B.C. because of the questions it arouses.
A scientific research will be required as agreed with the teacher.

The course consists of lectures and exercises, supported by weekly tutorials.
Students will prepare a scientific research project on a topic to be agreed upon with the lecturer.
