Learning objectives

Students will be endowed with the toolkit to analyze data and interpret the patterns of growth in the global economy

Course unit content

The course is an introduction to the methodology of growth empirics starting from its workhorse, the Solow growth model

Full programme

The course is split into four parts
1) The facts of growth
2) The Solow model with physical capital, population and human capital
3) Innovation and technological progress in the Solow model
4) Globalization, Government and growth in the Solow model
