Learning objectives

Knowledge and understanding
At the end of the course, the student will acquire in-depth knowledge of some specific topics of "Industrial logistics" and "supply chain management", such as, for example, the concepts of reverse logistics and green logistics. It is therefore expected that the student will become expert of logistics and supply chain management issues. The student will also have basic knowledge regarding the role of communication as a key element of corporate relations.
Applying knowledge and understanding
The knowledge acquired by the student may be used in order to design the processes of supply chain and logistics system in the light of considerations of reverse logistics, green logistics and city logistics.
Making judgements
The student will be able to quantitatively assess some specific aspects of the supply chain and logistics processes, such as, for example, the environmental impact (carbon footprint) of logistics activities, or the opportunity of adopting reverse logistics strategies.
Communication skills
The student will acquire specific vocabulary related to the topics covered during the course, such as, for example, reverse logistics, city logistics or freight village facilities. It is expected that students will be able to exhibit, whether verbally or in writing, the main concepts covered during the course class.
Learning skills
Students who have attended the course will acquire a complete background on logistics and supply chain management issues, and will therefore be able to deepen their knowledge in these areas, through the autonomous consultation of specialized textbooks and articles published in scientific journals or dissemination, even outside the topics closely covered in class.
