Integrated course unit module: HUMAN ANATOMY

Learning objectives

The course aims to provide students with fundamental knowledge of the anatomy of organs and systems, addressed to the application of physical activities and sports in different age groups.

Course unit content

Surface Anatomy:
Head and Neck, Thorax, Abdomen, Upper limb, Lower limb.
Muscolo skeletal system:
Introduction and classification of bones, joints and muscles. Bones, joints and muscles of the spine, rib cage and pelvis.

Digestive System: general histological organization ;
Buccal cavity, Pharynx, Esophagus, Stomach, Small Intestine, Large Intestine, Liver and Pancreas. The anatomical basis of intestinal absorption.
Cardiovascular System:
Heart. arterial circulation: aorta and its branches, the main arterial vascular beds. General Organization of the Venous System: superior vena cava and inferior vena cava. Overview of the lymphatic system.
Respiratory System:
General organization of morpho-functional microscopic anatomy .
Upper and lower airways, trachea, bronchi, lungs and pleura. Anatomy of the blood-respiratory barrier.
Urinary System:
Macro-microscopic anatomy of the kidney; The Anatomical Basis of filtration and reabsorption. General urinary tract.
General organization of the reproductive male and female. Macro and microscopic anatomy of the gonads.
The Endocrine System:
pituitary, thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, endocrine pancreas.
