Learning objectives

The aim of the course is to endow students with literary-historical background (with particular attention to poetic production), as regards the publishing of Canti Orfici; the analytical interpretation of individual texts, focusing on subsequent and divergent acquisitions, discussions and criticism about Campana and his poetry. Last but not the least, the acquisition of a critical understanding of the relationship between the so-called "major" and the so-called "minor" authors.

Canti Orfici by Dino Campana.
Critical (textual and historical) review of one of the most important books of the Twentieth-Century Italian poetry, i.e. Canti Orfici (1914) by Dino Campana (1885 to 1932).
