Course unit content
During face-to-face lessons the students will learn the language content related to the program by putting into practice the skills of reading and listening. Practice exercises will be done in class.

Face-to-face lessons and practice exercises in class.
Assessment methods and criteria
The test consists of multiple choice questions on reading and listening texts on various topics. The pass mark is 60%.
The questions assess the ability of the student to understand typical written academic texts and oral discourse at B1+ level (intermediate/upper intermediate level), and tests reading skills (skimming, scanning, inference etc).
Other information
The test is based on the IELTS examination (International English Language Testing Service) for the Reading and Listening components of the test; some exercises may be modified.
