Course unit content

The course aims to provide students with the fundamental knowledge, in the field of contemporary architectural culture, aimed at constituting an educational and intellectual base indispensable to the profession of architect in the 21st century. The lessons will therefore be based on the reading of the Anthropic Landscape from the Territory to the Architecture scale, highlighting and defining, from time to time, its fundamental concepts. There are four lesson cycles, at the end of each of which there will be a critical analysis of one of the topics covered, through reflection and analysis of a significant text. For each cycle of lectures, a dispensation will be provided on the topics addressed.
The students will have to carry out an exercise consisting of the typological and morphological reading of a block in the historic center of Parma to verify and test the concepts and tools learned during the year.
At the end of the academic year there will be an individual interview aimed at verifying the knowledge of the topics covered by the course and of the texts recommended in the Bibliography.
