Course presentation
The Degree Course in Orthoptic and Ophthalmologic Assistance is run by the Department of Medicine and Surgery, lasts three years and is organised according to learning objectives, semesters and integrated Courses.
Graduates in Orthoptics and Ophthalmologic Assistance are health professionals who, as per a doctor’s prescription, treat motor and sensory disorders of the eye and perform instrumental-ophthalmic semeiology techniques.
Graduates in Orthoptics and Ophthalmic Care are responsible for the organisation, planning and quality of the professional acts carried out within the scope of their duties; they carry out their professional activities in public or private health care facilities, on a salaried or freelance basis.
