Internships

The University of Parma promotes curricular internships in order to facilitate professional choices through direct knowledge of the world of work and study-work alternation experiences.

The curricular placement integrates and completes the student's curriculum through the performance of practical activities which, on the basis of the provisions of their respective degree course regulations, may be carried out in structures within the University or externally at qualified public and private bodies with which the University has entered into appropriate agreements.

The placement involves three parties: the student, the promoter (the University of Parma) and the host (company or organisation) where the activity is carried out under the guidance of a university tutor, a University professor/instructor and a company supervisor.

Curricular placements are not a prerequisite for an employment relationship between the student and the host structure, nor can they be a substitute for company labour or professional services.

Information on internships and work-experience recognition

  • INTERNSHIPS

For internal internships, students must follow the online procedure indicated by the University: https://www.unipr.it/en/curricular-internships-online

At the end of the placement, the validating documents (logbook, placement report) must be uploaded exclusively to Esse3, and not sent to the University Tutor, who will be notified directly by the platform and will proceed with the recording of marks.

For further information on the procedures to be followed, please consult the pages of the Department's website: http://sea.unipr.it/it/attivita-a-scelta

  • RECOGNISATION OF WORK ACTIVITY

For the recognition of work activity for the purposes of the Internship, a request must be submitted in advance to Prof. Marco Ferretti (marco.ferretti@unipr.it), as President of the Degree Course.

If the answer is affirmative, the student must complete 150 hours of work activity and then produce a report on the activity carried out, to be sent directly to the President, who will assess the consistency of the activity with the learning objectives of the degree and proceed to validate the credits at the Student Registry Office. For further information on the procedures to be followed, please consult the pages on the Department's website: http://sea.unipr.it/it/attivita-a-scelta
