Learning objectives
The aim of this class is to achieve the basic knowledge of the Musical Philology and its different problems considered in the different musical repertories and various ages.

Course unit content
The transmission of musical and literary texts, with their critical study. The different kinds of musical editions and editorial techniques. Expert musical philologists will be invited to show the different problems connected to various repertories between 14th and 19th centuries.

AIMS:
The aim of this class is to achieve the basic knowledge of the Musical Philology and its different problems considered in the different musical repertories and various ages.
CONTENTS:
The transmission of musical and literary texts, with their critical study. The different kinds of musical editions and editorial techniques. Expert musical philologists will be invited to show the different problems connected to various repertories between 14th and 19th centuries.

FINAL EXAM:
The final examination will be an oral exam on the subjects discussed in the class.
