Integrated course unit module: PLANNING LAW AND ADMINISTRATION

Learning objectives

Knowledge and understanding:
At the end of the course, which requires the knowledge of the basic elements of law acquired during the degree course in Architectural Sciences, the student will have acquired specific knowledge in the field of town planning and building law, thanks to the examination of "practical cases" pertaining to the profession of architect (whether as private professional, whether as an employee of the P.A.).
Skills:
At the end of the course, the student will have good knowledge of town planning and building law and related institutions. The student will have acquired a discrete autonomy as regards the principal connected fulfillments concerning town planning law and he will know the essential tools for the "management" (in legal terms) of the territory.
In addition, the student (especially the attending student) will have developed a good knowledge of legal language.

Teaching methods

The course consists of oral lessons.
During the lessons, we will proceed to make an analysis of the applicable laws and significant institutions.
There will also be some "practical" lessons with the participation of authoritative representatives of public administrations.

Assessment methods and criteria

The examination will consist of an oral exam concerning the contents of the lessons.
The questions shall be aimed at verifying the knowledge of the student learned during the course as well as his ability to reason, to correlate the various topics and issues, to solve “practical” cases (skills).
