Learning objectives
The course intends to provide the student with knowledge of the general organisation of the human body in its physiological components. It also intends to mention some biochemistry of nutrition concepts and provide the bases for a clinical approach to clinical nutrition.

<br />Energetic and non-energetic nutritional principles.<br />Central control of appetite. Hunger and satiety. Eating behaviour disorders. Nutritional requirements and calorie intake.<br />Basal metabolism. Nutrition in various phases of life. Outline of artificial nutrition.
