Expect an excellent preparation, as testified by graduates who continue their studies successfully even at other locations and by representatives of companies in the area, who are part of the Steering Committee of the Mathematics degree programmes. The optimal ratio students/lecturers will allow you to be constantly followed and assisted during the course.
You will be supported through the tutoring activities carried out by students in the Master of Science in Mathematics and Ph.D. programs. Classes are mainly held at the Mathematics Complex (which offers three reading rooms and classrooms, when not occupied by lectures, for individual or group study). In addition, the building houses the lecturers' offices, allowing for easier student/teacher interaction.
Some course activities take place in other departments at the Campus, where all the teaching and research in the scientific field are located. The quality of research is highlighted by the excellent ranking in the 2014 Shanghai Academic Ranking of World Universities (Arwu) and the 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019 and 2020 CWTS Leiden Ranking.

After graduation
The professional opportunities for the three-year graduate in Mathematics are many: in companies and industries, in laboratories and research centers, in the field of dissemination of scientific culture, in the service sector and in public administration, with various areas of interest including computer science. The most frequent choice, however, is to continue studying by enrolling in a master's degree programme in Mathematics (with no educational debts prior to enrollment) or in science-related courses.
The demand for mathematics graduates in the job market is steadily increasing. AlmaLaurea data and those available to the Teaching Secretariat of the Mathematics Complex show a high employment rate at the end of the 3+2 path. You can also consult the January 2020 monthly bulletin of the Excelsior information system, compiled by Unioncamere and Anpal, which shows a 25.4 percent increase in the demand for graduates of the science, mathematics and physics fields.
