Learning objectives

Students must possess knowledge of how to monitor a pregnancy correctly, and they must develop the ability to identify, at an early stage, the pathologies that can lead to complications in pregnancy. In addition, they must possess the fundamental clinical knowledge necessary for a correct approach to the post-natal period and its pathological conditions.

The physiological changes during pregnancy; mother-foetus iso-immunisation; premature birth; multiple pregnancies; anomalies in foetal development; second and third-quarter metrorrhagia; post-term birth; anomalies of the amniotic fluid; twin pregnancy; hypertension in pregnancy and eclampsia; the post-natal period <br />
