Learning objectives
The course aims to familiarise students with the philosophical treatment of educational issues and have them acquire the critical tools required to highlight their limitations.
Prerequisites
Students must have obtained 10 learning credits in General Pedagogy
Course unit content
The course, which presupposes knowledge of the epistemological debate regarding the validity of research competencies in the education field, examines the relationship between pedagogy and the philosophy of education, critically exploring the tendency to assign a typically philosophical approach to general pedagogy compared with other spheres of pedagogical research. In particular, and by way of example, it will examine the way in which the concepts of person and subject are used in recent Italian pedagogical literature.
