The critical debate on contemporary architecture will be deepened through the case study proposed.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of the history of architecture of the XIX and XX centuries
Course unit content
The analysis of the program of the Biennale dell'architettura 2010 directed by Sejima will be the basis for an investigation on the theme of cultural exchange between Japan and west during XIX and XX century.

Teaching methods
The course will consist on lectures and meetings seminars in which will be discussed the work carried out by the students.

The verification will take place during the lessons on the occasion of the discussion of the advancement of research and in the final stage with oral examination.
