Learning objectives

The course aims at giving the student the opportunity to know and understand the essential aspects of the differential diagnosis of the main syndromes affecting small animals (dogs and cats), horses and large animals so that the student can practically apply his/her ability acquired by the knowledge and understanding in diagnosing clinical medical, reproductive and surgical problems.
The student, at the end of the course, should acquire the ability to know and understand the differential diagnosis in the clinic of small animals and livestock with particular emphasis on control measures and prevention and health management of diseased animals.

Course unit content

The course aims at presenting and discussing diagnostic aspects of internal medicine, obstetric and reproduction and surgery in pets, mainly dog and cat, and livestock. Moreover, practical training is aimed at finalizing the theoretical knowledge into practice.
