Learning objectives
The neurological patients management always had a meaningful position on the rehabilitation area. The course objectives are to transfer to the students theoretical and practical notions to allow them to be independent through the assessment, goal setting and treatment patient plan, according to the ICF model. In particular the student will be able to:
To know the clinical and patho-anatomical aspects of the acquired neurologiacl syndromes and difunction seen during the lessons. To reckon the clinical aspects of each syndrome and organize a treatment plan according to them.
To arrange the patient assessment through the anamnesis, motor analysis and functional tests. In regard of each test, to be able to indicate the level of independence.
To interpret positive and negative aspects of the patients and to be able to use them in a logical way through the treatment plan.
To be able to use the ICF classification to set short and long term goals.
To be able to use the Tinetti, Asworth and Barthel scales, to have objectives parameters in follow-up phases.
