How to take the IBD exam in Communication skills (3 credits)

Option One (Recommended). Students take part in an academic event held at the Department of Economics and prepare a summary of about 2000 words. Events include international congresses, conferences and seminars. The nature of student participation and focus of the summary will depend on the type of event and participation, and are subject to approval by the course teacher. Students will be informed on the timing of these events and on the procedures to participate

Option Two. (Only for students unable to attend a Department event during the year) The student writes a 2000 word summary and gives a 15 minute spoken presentation, perhaps using Power Point, based on a book or article selected from a list provided by IBD staff. Students choosing this option should contact Prof. Guglielmo Wolleb, IBD coordinator, to finalize the content and fix the date of the exam.
