Learning objectives
The course has the goal of permitting students to know some fundamental elements of sociology, important to understand dynamics of social groups also of few members such as working groups.
Prerequisites
Attitude to analysis and critical thinking.
Course unit content
The most important and basilar issues o general sociology will be discussed such as:
- man as social actor;
- life and working context;
- social relationships;
- social roles;
- culture;
- groups.

Basic and fundamental elements of society and general sociology;
- The groups, their formation and their dynamics;
- Cultural influence in the formation of the groups;
- Institutions;
- Life context;
- Critical and emergency situations.

Teaching methods
Some lessons will be lectures, but other will try to involve students to become actors of their knowledge.
Assessment methods and criteria
It will be proposed a written exam to check the acquisition of knowledge, comprehension and competence about social studies. Students should answer to two open questions. The goals will be acquired in a sufficient way, if the students will answer to one question. The criteria of evaluation will be the knowledge, the competence, the clearness, the critical remarks and the personal consideration.
